What liquid or chemical liquid will be stored in the tanks?
We need to know the exact liquid or chemical that will be stored in the tank. What will the liquid or chemical be used in? What is the percentage of concentration of the chemical, as this helps determine the storage tank wall thickness.
Where will the storage tank be located?
This is a big question because the location helps determine the makeup of materials in the tank manufacturing process.
Will the tank be outside or inside? Will the weather be freezing or hot?
What size and functionality of the tank will be needed?
Is the tank a horizontal or vertical tank? What are the specifications? Will the bottom of the tank need to be a specific cone shape for mixing materials with the stored liquid or chemical? What about the thickness of the tank walls? This all depends upon the size and functionality of the storage tank.
What connections and other hardware accessories might be needed?
The types of connections are determined by how the liquid will be transported from the storage tank into other areas. Is the liquid corrosive? What fittings materials might react negatively with the stored liquids? What about OSHA-compliant storage ladders or cat walks?
